There’s fetichism in everything; the freaker the performance, the more money you get. The sex market will never grow old, and so it says Lex Gray,  not your average kind of stripper from Vancouver, who struggles to make this her way of living.

Who is Lex Gray?

I am just a funny little frog, really. With tonnes of love, and little understanding of normalcy. I try to avoid being summarized.

How do your friends call you?

“Duuuuuuuude!”

What’s your occupation?

I’m secretly a business woman, and work in the advertising/media/tech realm by day. Also a party professional, consultant, and showgirl. Mostly I am a hustler.

Where do you live? Tell us what you like the most about that place

I live in the moment! I spend a lot of time in Vancouver Canada (shh) and when I’m there, live high up in the clouds in a tall glass tower with my tiny kitten named Daddy. It’s a dream!

Where else would you like living?

Staying in one place for too long freaks me out! Trying to check out California next – so many opportunities there. Would be nice to get back to my Detroit roots too. But then again… London is shining bright these days too. Shucks – we’ll see where the wind takes me!

Choose a word that describes you:

LOVE

Your favorite weather is hotter or colder?

I love dry desert heat, but am very sensitive to the light. My dream world would be hot so I can be naked all the time, but not too bright that I burn my sweet albino skin! Hehe

If you could create a new country, how would it be named?

Ubuntu.

Best day of the week:

Any day I get to make someone smile!

What does inspire you?

Openness, time alone, free time, (there’s a theme here…) weird music, sleep deprivation, sexual energy, strangeness, cash, and my posse of badass babes! Sometimes when I’m feeling sad and uninspired, I simply go hang out with the ladies. They’re my spark.

How many time do you spend on Instagram?

To be honest… barely any. A few minutes a day, responding to DMs. That’s a preference, and also because I’m fucking busy.

Which of your pictures of Instagram you like the most?

Probably one of Daphs or Kait loving life. My favourite part of Instagram is being able to show the world my beautiful friends having a blast – that is my favourite art to indulge in.

Which Instagrams users you like the most?

I love weird little meme accounts and …pretty girls sharing cool information with eachother. @yungemilyxx has been a huge inspiration of mine from my early Instagram days (has it been a year already?!) and @Mattromneyforprez doesn’t know it, but he’s my internet idol. Whoever he actually is.

Tell us about the best party you have ever been to

I must admit – Rent Cheque’s 3 Year Birthday was absolutely wild, probably the craziest party I’ve ever been to… and boy do I party!

Rent Cheque is an anything-goes amateur strip competition here in Vancouver Canada where people of all genders, age, and walks of life can jump on stage, get naked and silly, and compete to win hundreds of dollars – the crowd votes for who they want to win! Sometimes we have things like Jello Wrestling, Fake Orgasm Competitions, all sorts of wacky happenings! But my favourite part is always the radically accepting, loving, positive crowd. To me, partying is all about connecting with other people. We have all sorts of bodies and personalities and performances at Rent Cheque, and we (myslef and Abby Normal, my amazing party partner aka superwoman) really prioritize ensuring everyone feels safe and loved and weird. Because the crowd has so much sway and votes for who they want to win a fairly large cash prize, we make sure they’re not just respectful – but rewarding of the contestant’s bravery- and thus it’s a remarkably accepting crowd.

Also – I don’t talk about it much considering its nature, but Babe Bang is my #1 indulgence. It’s a female-exclusive orgy that goes down in a licensed sex venue four times a year, also in Vancouver. Creating something like Babe Bang has been a goal of mine since I was a tiny girl – and I’m absolutely blessed to be doing it with Abby. Every time we throw a Babe Bang event, I shed a tear of appreciation for all the amazingly cool ladies that come out. Literally a dream come true! So each one of those is also my favourite.

Also, one time I went to a secret underground rave beneath Paris… I remember wearing a tiny hello kitty costume and meeting a bunch of celebrities on drugs and kissing girls. That’s about all I remember though. So it probably was the party of a lifetime.

What’s your favorite part of your life so far?

Being a stripper helped me achieve the freedom, confidence, social skills, and business sense I never thought I deserved or had a chance to explore. I will probably always reflect on my dancing days as my glory days.

Favorite Song/Band?

Can’t choose one! . Anything Alt J, Erykah Badu, Cocorosie, Devendra Banhart, Jurrasic 5, Nacho Picasso, or Jimi Hendrix. OOOO ya baby!

What does it mean to you to be part of a new generation?

It means accountability and possibility. We’re creating our future, and the instruments we’ll rely on to pioneer it safely and quickly and hopefully for our own betterment. How scary and cool is that!

I look forward to a more creative, expressive, open future. One where at minimum, sexual and gender expression isn’t so binary or restrictive. One where our day to day is infused with art, and where spreading the love is simpler. Of course we’ll be communicating and learning differently as well.  Last week, my grampa asked me if emoji use in general was code for something. I’m like – ya dude – code for current.

What would you tell people isn’t born yet?

Stay naked my dude~

What you like the most about Internet?

I never felt accepted, my whole life, until the Internet allowed me to connect with weirdos all over the world, and to gain confidence from their praise, and support to get by. The connective powers of the internet helped me escape some really sad chapters of my life, and gain some awesome friends in the process.

To be honest, I never expected to suddenly be seen as an influencer – I had always just done my own thing. Last year I started this Instagram and it turns out, some people out there are into my own thing too – radical!
I worship the internet, and hope we continue to use it for good. It is a loaded gun – let’s be nice to each other.

What’s your favorite Emoji?

✌?

What would you tell yourself if you were 15 years old again?

Vodka is shit! Don’t take bullies seriously! Get to bed! Be nicer to your mom! Read more!

What do you know about Chile?

Not enough.  Will you share your world with me?

Santiago is my favourite sounding word! And I think Mario Vargas Llosa has some interesting opinions on the connection between a city and its nature and people.
Your skies and coastlines are gorgeous. The culture is apparently quite deep and multifaceted. It sounds beautiful. And your waters have phosphorescence!

Which is your favorite social network?

Family.
